USA Football does not operate any leagues or teams. Our mission as a national advocacy organization is to support and enhance the development and operation of leagues, teams, coaches, parents and players across the United States with resources and best practices such as coaching and health & safety information.

 USA Football is an independent non-profit organization whose purpose is to galvanize, support and promote the sport at all levels of amateur football.

The first national advocacy group created for this purpose, USA Football was launched in December 2002 and received initial funding from the National Football League and the NFL Players Association, through the NFL Youth Football Fund.

The activities of USA Football generally focus on the following: building coalitions, advocating positions and causes, identifying best practices and standards, aggregating resources, and promoting the sport. It is also the designated U.S. representative to the International Federation of American Football (IFAF).

Jack Kemp, former U.S. Congressman and All-Pro quarterback who led the Buffalo Bills to the 1964 and 1965 AFL Championship, is USA Football's Chairman.

Vision Statement USA Football believes that the well-being of the sport depends on a broad appreciation of the game, excellence in coaching, an emphasis on safety and health, high levels of youth participation, and collaboration with the many partner organizations involved in amateur football.

Mission Statement: To galvanize, promote, support and expand the sport of amateur football.

Goals:

To serve as a national voice of advocacy for the sport of football To develop a unified support structure for amateur football at all levels To identify and promote best practices and standards for youth football To serve as a clearinghouse of information and resources To promote character development, scholarship and sportsmanship To support the development of amateur football internationally
